Common name: Foxtail palm Origin: Australia Minimum temperature: -4 degrees Celsius Description: De foxtail palm has only recently been discovered in 1978 when an aboriginal brought it under the attention of a botanist. There was a single population in Cape Melville in Queensland, Australia. It's a beautiful palm because of its plume-like leaves that can get 2-3 meters. This species also grows strong and easily, which is why it's already spread out in gardens all over the world. This plant can be kept outside in the summer in a sunny spot, but should be brought inside if the temperature drops below -4 degrees Celcius. After a white bloom orange fruits of about 5 cm will form with these beautifully structured seeds.
