Product description

One of the rarest plants in the world and certainly the most bizarre. The plant grows in the desert of Namibia where it hardly ever rains. The plant still gets its water by probably removing the necessary moisture from the air with the help of its special curled leaves. Other theories claim that the plant uses the long taproot to raise groundwater, but it is uncertain whether this taproot reaches groundwater today. In the thousands of years that the plant lives, it only produces two leaves that curl and dry at the end. The pollination of the flowers is provided by a special red bug and the seeds remain germinable for a very long time.

Sowing description: The soil mixture should consist of 2 parts river sand, 1 part gravel and 1 part cutting soil. This mixture must first be disinfected from mold spores by heating it in the oven at 100 degrees Celsius for 2 hours. You can sow in coffee cups with a hole at the bottom, where the soil can be made soaking wet. Place the seed on top of the ground and a tiny layer of sand on top. During the day it can be kept at 25 degrees Celsius and at night just at room temperature, so that there is a small fluctuation in temperature. Once every 3 days you can spray on the top and for the rest it is important that there is a lot of light. Germination will follow after about 7 days. After this, the roots should never get too wet again, but you should continue to water every now and then.
If you follow all of this, you have a great chance of a wonder of the world at home.

Goede kwaliteit zaden dus!

I only planted one of the two seeds and it grew without any issues.

Dylan

Wat ongelooflijk dat jullie deze soort verkopen! Ga er snel eentje bestellen.
