This is a small variety of the pomegranate and is therefore very suitable as a container plant in temperate climates. The maximum height of the dwarf pomegranate is about 1 meter, and also the leaves, flowers and fruits are smaller than that of the regular pomegranate. The florescence is abundant and after a good summer the small pomegranates can be harvested. The minimum temperature is around -8 degC, and can therefore also be grown in the open ground in a sheltered spot.

Sowing description:
Soak the seeds for 48 hours in lukewarm water, after which they can be sown in sowing mix. Keep the soil constantly lightly moist, cover it with plastic foil or glass, and let the seeds germinate at a warm spot indoors.

Sowing time:
Whole year

Level of difficulty:
Difficult

Na tien dagen zijn twee van de zaden al gekiemd. Ik had ze wel constant tussen de 25 en 30 °C staan in een kweekbak, maar ik had niet verwacht dat het zo snel zou gaan. Ik ben super tevreden :)
