Peronia (Ormosia krugii)

Product description

The striking seeds of the peronia are bright red, often with 1 or more black spots. In the Amazon, the local population makes jewelry from the seeds that are worn in various rituals. The seeds are poisonous and are in pods on the tropical tree up to 20 meters high. The species originates from the Caribbean and grows in rainforests at altitudes between 100 and 800 meters. Due to its tropical origin, the species can be kept as a houseplant, but the seeds are especially popular because of their elegance.

Sowing description: Sand down the seeds and then soak them in water for 24 hours. When the seeds swell, they can be sown in sowing and cutting soil at 20-25 ° C. If they don't swell, you can try sanding them down and soaking them again.
