Levant cotton is a cotton plant of the Arabian Peninsula which has been cultivated for thousands of years. For the first time in western Sudan, and later in India, Egypt, China and Pakistan. In hot areas, the species grows as a perennial shrub up to 1-2 meters high. The plant can be kept in a colder climate as an annual plant.Yellow flowers form fruit boxes which burst after ripening, so that the cotton comes out. The cotton surrounds the seeds and is about 5 cm long. Cotton is used for a variety of applications in relation to textiles. The seeds of this species are used in traditional medicine and are mainly eaten by women to reduce menstrual pains. Provide a sunny spot and give the plants enough water.
Sowing description: Sow seeds in late Spring in sowing mix. Provide a bright spot at 20-25 degC and keep the soil constantly moist.

De bestelling kwam snel binnen, de zaadjes kwamen ook snel uit. De miniplantjes leken het goed te doen, tot een dag of 5 toen begon de eerste te verschrompelen. Grond was nog vochtig, kon niet te weinig water zijn. Helaas heeft geen van mijn ontsproten katoenzaadjes het gered. Volgende keer een tweede poging.
Kwam snel binnen, en veel meer dan ik had besteld. Ik had 2 zakjes van 10 zaden. Besteld in de ene zaten er 20 en de andere 15 dus dat is supper. Heb ze gezaaid nu hopen dat ze allemaal uit gaan komen. Nu na 3 dagen nog niks te zien, maar misschien ben ik wat te ongeduldig 🤭
10 zaden ontvangen en binnen 4 dagen al kleine plantjes😍
Deze zijn goed opgekomen en intussen heb ik mijn eerste bloemen!
De zaden kwamen snel op en de plant groeit goed. Zeer tevreden met de service van onszaden
