Occurs on rocky soils in southern Tasmania up to a height of 1.300 meters. The leaves are lanceolate and the trunk is grey-white and brown. Hardy species.

The Tasmanian Snow Gum is found in the south of Tasmania on rocky terrain at altitudes between 800 and 1.300 meters. The maximum height is 15 meters, the plant has lance-shaped leaves and stands out for its beautifully colored, gray, white and brown trunk. In its native habitat, the species is exposed to freezing temperatures during the winter, so it is quite hardy. Provide a sunny, sheltered spot.

Sowing description: Sow seeds on the surface of sowing mix. Keep the soil constantly moist and then put everything in the fridge for 6 weeks. Let them germinate on a bright spot at 20-25 degC.

Snel ontkiemd, de meeste in de koelkast al. Daarnaast ook veel zaden ontkiemd. Hele kleine fijne kiemplantjes. Erg tevreden mee.

Deze boom groeit nu ook veel in Sao Paulo.
Deze soort staat bij mijn broer in Sao Paulo achter zijn huis en de boom is wel zo'n 60 meter groot. En als het regent, zie je de kleuren mooi naar voren komen.
