My experience was negative, as the seeds were not viable and they rot. The seeds of this species remain alive for a short period (some months), so most seeds that are found commercially will not germinate. Fresh seeds have a light brown appearance and are thick, when outdated seeds look reddish dark brown and thin. As for the cultivation, it is a heat loving species that requires warmth in the winter, otherwise it gets damaged. It forms a caudex and remains quite compact in size.
Update: uiteindelijk een boompje overgehouden. Groeide goed en had 2 enorme bladeren. Totdat het stammetje ong 20cm zich begon in te snoeren en uiteindelijk volledig afstierf..
3 dagen de zaadjes in lauw water
in een thermosfles gedaan, elke ochtend het water ververst en 2 van de 5 zaadjes begonnen al te kiemen. 1 zaadje was gebroken.
