Common name: Timor black bamboo Origin: Timor, Indonesia Description: A very graceful bamboo from the island of Timor, which is close to Indonesia, with black stems. First, the stems are green. But the colour changes to black when the plant grows older. It’s a fast grower that can reach a height of 21 meters. In a temperate climate, the species can be kept as a container plant at a minimum temperature of -4 degrees Celsius. Therefore, the bamboo will stay smaller.
