Description

The woodland passion flower grows in dryer woodlands of South-America between altitudes of 400 and 2800 meters. The plants can resist lower temperatures up to a minimum of 0 degC. The species grows easily as an indoor or container plant in temperate climates. In nature the plant can reach a height of 4 meters, but it stays a lot smaller in a pot. A sunny stand is recommended. The white/purple flowers are followed by dark purple (non-edible) passion fruits with orange pulp.

Sowing description: Soak the seeds for 24 hours in orange- or lemonjuice, then sow them in sowing mix. Keep the soil constantly moist, cover with plastic foil or glass and let the seeds germinate in a warm and bright spot indoors. Germination can take a few weeks or months.
