Description

Mount Bogong is with its 1.986 meters the highest mountain in Victoria.  This species occurs at altitudes between 1.300 and 1.800 meters in the Eucalyptus forests which grow on the mountain. This variety has a more compact growth compared to the Eucalyptus pauciflora, and has a pale green trunk alternating with brown stripes. The seeds of Mount Bogong are very rare, but give trees that are among the most hardy eucalyptus. Provide a sunny spot.

Sowing description: Sow the seeds on the surface of sowing mix and then put them in the fridge for 6 weeks. Thereby keep the soil constantly moist. Let them germinate aftewards at 20 degC on a bright spot.
