Description

The golden champaca (previously known as Michelia champaca) has yellow/golden flowers with a delicious smell. The smell spreads throughout the whole house or garden, and attracts both humans and insects to smell the flowers. The flower is part of the Joy-perfume, one of the more expensive perfumes in the world. The species grows up to a height of 30 meters in nature, and can be grown as a container plant in more temperate climates at a minimum temperature of 0 degC.

Sowing description: Soak the seeds for 24 hours in lukewarm water, after which they can be sown in sowing mix. Keep the soil constantly moist and cover it with plastic foil or glass and let the seeds germinate in a warm spot (25 degC).
