With the ROOT!T heat mat, you can increase the temperature of the growing medium and create better conditions for seed germination and raising young plants.
The heat mat is placed underneath a propagator and provides even heat distribution. This can raise the temperature around the roots by approximately 5 to 11 °C above the ambient temperature. The actual temperature increase depends on the surrounding conditions. Measuring 25 × 35 cm, the mat is suitable for use underneath a standard propagator.
The heat mat is water-resistant and, with a power consumption of just 11 watts, is energy-efficient. The mat provides continuous heat as long as it is connected to the power supply. For precise temperature control, the heat mat can be combined with the separately available ROOT!T thermostat. This allows you to set the desired temperature, after which the thermostat automatically switches the heat mat on and off.
Place the heat mat on a dry, flat surface and position the propagator on top. Preferably use the mat on an insulated surface to minimise heat loss. Do not place the mat inside the propagator or allow it to come into direct contact with the growing medium. Check the temperature regularly, especially when using the mat without a thermostat.
