Description

This Eucalyptus species is called the Candlebark Gum, because the bark does not come directly from the tree when it dies off, so that the trunk gets a battered appearance. This is similar to a burning candle. The yellow-white and grey trunk has orange-red stripes during the summer, making it quite graceful. It is a species with origins in Southeast Tasmania, and can nowadays be found in many places in southeastern Australia. The species is winter hardy.

Sowing description: Sow the seeds on the surface of sowing mix and let them germinate at 20 degC on a bright spot. Thereby keep the soil constantly moist.

Kiem heel goed! Na een week de eeste plantjes. Gewoon in de huiskamer kiemen, met folie over het potje werkt prima :)

Zaden gezaaid zoals voorgeschreven in zaai en stekgrond, in een propagator geplaatst op 30 graden zonder licht en alle zaden na 4 dagen ontkiemt :)
