Description

This pretty climber from India en Nepal produces large, white flowers (grandiflora) and big, shining leaves. It’s a tropical plant, but because of its growth in the higher mountains of Nepal, it can also withstand some cold. The plant can withstand temperature up to -3 degrees Celsius, without occurring any damage. That’s why you can keep the Nepalese trumpet flower as a container- or greenhouse plant. Protect it against temperatures lower than -3 degrees Celsius. A sheltered spot in full sun is required to get the plant to bloom.

Sowing instructions: Rub the seeds on their long seeds and let them then soak in water for about 24 hours. Sow in sowing mix, cover with plastic foil or glass and let them germinate on a warm (25 degrees Celsius), bright spot indoors. Constantly keep the soil moist. Germination occurs irregularly, but usually takes place between 3 to 6 weeks.
