Description

This beautiful tree from South Africa can't withstand frost, but it is also attractive as a houseplant for its lovely red-black seeds. These seeds are often used in Africa for necklaces and other jewellery. After the green-red flowers, brown woody pods are formed, each containing about 10 seeds. The wood of the tree is well known, because it is very hard and durable. A mixture made from the roots and the bark would bring luck to African hunters as they wash themselves with it.

Sowing description: Germinate quite easily by sowing them in sowing mix at 25 degrees of Celsius. Keep the soil moist constantly.

Na 1 week zijn al 4 van de 5 zaden ontkiemd!

Willem

Geweldige plant/boom. Vier uit vijf zijn reeds tweede jaar gepasseerd en sinds een halfjaar op hydrocultuur gezet. Doen het uitstekend. Nieuwe bladeren en uitlopers/zijtakken.

4 van de 5 zaden gekiemd en de boompjes staan er nu allemaal mooi bij. Ze kwamen ook redelijk stel uit.

Prachtige zaden waarvan er 5/5 gekiemd zijn. Planten doen het na bijna twee jaar nog steeds goed op kamertemperatuur. Ze verliezen tijdens de winter het meeste van hun bladeren maar deze komen tijdens de lente terug samen met nieuwe vertakkingen op de plant.

Super mooi zaad. Is bij ons nu net uit de grond in een vrij donker huis naast het raam op een plankje boven de verwarming. Goed vochtig houden is echt belangrijk. Die van een vriend is al vrij snel dood gegaan na een korte tijd geen water.

Ik wil wel graag planten maar met nota betalen of ppostdurf niet via ideale wel als ik planten thuis heb
