Description

Morrisby's Gum is a very rare and endangered species from the southeast of Tasmania. There is one large population of approximately 2.000 trees at Calvert Hill, and there are a few scattered small populations of less than 20 trees. These populations are the remnants of a once large population that would have been cleared for the most part since the arrival of Europeans. The species is between 6 and 12 meters high and is hardy up to -15 degrees when provided with a sheltered, sunny spot.

Sowing description: Sow seeds on the surface of sowing mix and keep the soil constantly moist. Put the whole in the fridge for 8 weeks and then let them germinate at 20-25 degC on a bright spot.
