A yellow variety of the red flamboyant which occurs in Madagascar. A very decorative container plant with pinnate leaves and yellow flowers.

This is a yellow variety of the more famous red flamboyant which is rarely seen. The plant can be kept at a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius and is already very gracefully at a young age through the beautiful pinnate leaves. Provide a sunny and warm spot.

Sowing description: First soak the seeds in lukewarm water for 24 hours. Then sow them in sowing mix and let them germinate at around 25 degC. Keep the soil constantly moist. 

Sowing time: Whole year 
Difficulty: Easy
Minimum temperature: 10 degrees Celsius

Aan dankbare plant die, ondanks onze ongunstige omstandigheden (appartement op het noorden), goed is gekiemd. Inmiddels hebben we een fraai boompje van 50 cm die al een bast heeft ontwikkeld. Het voelt nog te prematuur om de boom op het balkom te zetten i.v.m. de soms harde wind. Het is dus voorlopig een huiskamerboom. In de herfst is dat wel onhandig, want dan laat het zijn bladeren vallen.
