Product description

Kona coffee is an Arabica coffee species which grows on the slopes of the Hualapai and Mauna Loa in the Kona district on Hawaii. The local climate, in combination with fertile volcanic ground, provides great soil for the species and made (in combination with great marketing) this species one of the most expensive coffees in the world. Only coffee from the Kona district may be called Kona coffee, but you can also often find Kona blends. These blends contain around 10% Kona and 90% of another coffee species. The seeds come from Hawaii, so you can cultivate your own Kona coffee. Too bad you can’t call it real Kona coffee, because it doesn’t grow over there.
